The role

A first sprint is the start of a relationship, not the end of a transaction. This role owns that relationship: across the whole deal, through delivery, and into the expansion that follows, the ongoing retainer, the next problem worth automating, and the referrals a happy customer sends our way.

You will be the steady point of contact the customer trusts, coordinate across delivery so nothing falls between the cracks, and grow the account after the sprint lands. Where the Account Executive converts and closes the standard Sprint, this role carries the relationship long past it and turns a successful sprint into a lasting one.

What you'll do

  • Own the relationship across the whole deal, from the first serious conversation through delivery and into everything after it
  • Grow the account after the sprint: the ongoing retainer, around $1K a month, and the next piece of manual work worth automating
  • Turn happy customers into referrals and warm introductions, feeding the top of the pipeline back alongside the cold outreach and inbound the earlier tiers run, and closing the loop
  • Be the steady point of contact the customer trusts, so questions and problems come to you before they become churn
  • Coordinate across delivery and the rest of the team so handoffs never get dropped as the relationship grows
  • Read the account clearly: know which relationships are healthy, which need attention, and where the next expansion actually is

Who you are

You play the long game, and customers stay because of how you carry the relationship:

  • A relationship owner. You hold the whole arc of a customer, not a single transaction, and you are the person they call.
  • An instinct for expansion. You see the next problem worth solving before the customer asks, and you earn the right to raise it.
  • Reliable follow-through. People rely on you because you follow through, and that is what turns into referrals.
  • Coordinated across the team. You keep delivery, the customer, and the rest of us aligned so the experience never frays.

Nice to have

Direct experience in account management, customer success, or expansion and renewal-led revenue is a plus but not required. The relationship instinct and the long-game patience matter more, and the specifics of our offering are learnable on the job. If you have them already, even better.

There is a defined growth path from this role toward Head of Sales for people who want to take partner accountability for the whole sales process and the revenue outcome end to end.

Where this role sits

This is one tier of a capability ladder that runs from booking qualified meetings up to owning the whole sales process and the revenue outcome end to end. We meet you at the tier that fits you now and grow with you as the work and your capability line up.

  1. Sales Development Representative (SDR) Book meetings via cold outreach and warm/inbound leads. Inbound and outbound both; no separate BDR.

Per-outcome pay

SimplyCubed never pays by the hour. You are paid per outcome, for the delivered result that meets its acceptance criteria, so how fast you work is your upside, not ours.

An expansion or renewal you drive pays 8 to 12% of its value, so growing an account pays like closing one.
